Drew Meyer

Drew has served as the Lead Pastor for LifePointe since May 2017. Drew and his wife, Tanya, have four children - Brice, Luci, Addison, and Quinn.

Drew and his family came to Ames in 2011 to become the director for the ISU Chi Alpha. During his time on the college campus, Drew grew passionate about connecting students to the local church.

Drew's heart is to see believers that understand their influence in the marketplace, and in the world.  His desire is to see people changed and transformed by the hope they experience in Jesus Christ through the local church.

Associate Pastor

Tony Meyer

Tony serves as Associate Pastor at LifePointe bringing pastoral leadership to our discipleship culture and development of more leaders. Tony and his wife, Kayla, have three children - Evie, Dean, and Andrew.

Tony joined the LifePointe team in 2019, previously serving as worship and lifegroup pastor at LIFEchurch in Coralville, IA for 2.5 years. Prior to that, Tony pioneered Chi Alpha at the University of Iowa from 2012 - 2015 and served on staff at NDSU Chi Alpha from 2007-2012.

Tony is passionate about leadership and discipleship because there is nothing like seeing someone come alive to the reason they're on this planet. To see people grow and mature as well as discover their specific call is his passion.

Associate Pastor

Scott Flaten

Scott serves as Associate Pastor primarily in the worship and production ministries at LifePointe.  Scott and his wife, Alyssa, have 3 children.

Scott joined the LifePointe team in 2021, having previously served as worship pastor in churches across the country.  Scott and Alyssa also founded Intentional Worship Ministries, a non-profit ministry focused on worship ministry health and leadership. Scott believes in creating experiences in worship that are life-giving and Spirit-empowered because when we meet the Lord in worship, we can be changed.  Scott believes that when we let the Holy Spirit move, nothing is impossible.

Student Ministries Directors

Riley & Shena Edwards

Riley and Shena serve as the Student Ministries Directors at LifePointe. Riley and Shena have been a part of the LifePointe family for many years, and joined the LifePointe leadership team in April of 2018. Riley and Shena have three children.

Both Riley and Shena graduated from Iowa State University. Shena has her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Adult and Family Services, and Riley has his Bachelor’s Degree in History with a license to teach secondary education. During college, they encountered the love of Jesus in a real way through authentic community, and are passionate about seeing other young people have the same story. They have a desire to see young people meet Jesus and encounter a real community.

Rosinger
Chi Alpha Directors

Alex & Katie Rosinger

Alex & Katie Rosinger are both Alumni of Iowa State University and ISU Chi Alpha. Their hearts and lives were completely transformed through encountering Jesus during their years as ISU students.

After graduating from ISU in 2016, Alex worked as an environmental engineer in the Minneapolis metro area. After also graduating from ISU in 2016, Katie spent two years on staff with ISU Chi Alpha and moved to Minneapolis after they were married in 2018 to work as a pre-school teacher at an inner city non-profit foundation.  Since moving back to Ames they have added three little boys to their family.

Alex and Katie are hungry to see God move radically in the hearts of ISU students and to see the university transformed by the Good News of Jesus.

Staff Administrator

Erin Thompson

Erin serves as the Staff Administrator at LifePointe. Erin and her husband Joshua live north of Ames with their four children - Abigail, Elisabeth, Benjamin, and Megan. She joined the LifePointe staff in April, 2020.

Erin and Joshua both graduated from Iowa State University and got married the very next weekend! They stayed in Ames because they love this area and the beautiful people that live here. Erin is passionate about her family, and about reflecting the love and joy of Jesus Christ to the people around her.
