About Jesus School

The modern church is in need of believers that take seriously His command to love Him with all that they are. We have lost something that prior generations have embraced which is faithfulness, waiting on the Lord, commitment to a community, and the authentic fire of God that changes people. So our desire is to create an environment in the local church where individuals can come and be immersed and transformed in His Presence. This will happen through extended worship together, Biblical Jesus-focused teachings, mentoring, encounter groups, and weekly outreach and evangelism in the community. Our prayer is that this year set aside will result in students being sent out burning with the heart of Jesus to influence the world around them for the rest of their lives.

*The missions trip is an essential part of your Jesus School experience and therefore all students are required to participate. Block your calendars now. Plane tickets will be purchased as soon as possible, however not until funds are raised.

Weekly Schedule

WHAT A TYPICAL WEEK WILL BE LIKE

Jesus School at LifePointe Church runs Sunday through Thursday. Sundays are a day to serve and receive in the church body. Monday through Thursday run from 9AM to 4PM.

Monday through Thursday General Schedule

Impartation. Monday through Wednesday this will involve teaching sessions. We are excited to have incredible staff and guests that will come and impart into our school. Thursday from noon to 2PM will involve a dedicated time of waiting on God and being in His presence. There can be no substitute for the transformation that comes in God’s presence.

Activation. Every week will look a little different. There are a number of things that we will give space for every week. Mentoring/coaching, Encounter Groups, outreaches, and time to work on assignments will all take place in the morning or afternoon depending on the day.

Encounter Groups. Encounter groups are a vital part of the Jesus School at LifePointe Church. Encounter Group is the environment where you will take risks, be vulnerable, process content, and minister to one another.

Mentoring and Coaching. Every student is required to be both mentored and coached. We will arrange for you to be assigned to a mentor. This seasoned saint will be an individual that can walk alongside you in this year of transformation. Coaching (done second year) will take place over each semester with a certified coach and will help you process the things the Lord is speaking to you.

Outreach. Every student will be activated outside of the walls of the church. Every week students will be required to be put in positions to be stretched and used by God. Some outreaches will be pre-formed and organized and some will be general opportunities that can be created from scratch.

Admissions Information

Tuition Cost: $4,000.00 (Payment Plans Available)

Pre-requisites:
--Must be at least 18 years of age or older
--High School Diploma or GED preferred

Structure:
Jesus School is a one year program with an optional second year and third-year internship. The tuition cost covers one year of Jesus School.

Commitment:
Jesus School is a nine-month program broken up into two semesters. Classes will be four days a week (Mon-Thu) and additional weekly Sunday morning services along with monthly Sunday evening services.

Requirements:
--$40 application fee
--3 References: 1 Pastoral, 2 Personal
--Completed application

The Jesus School team will be available to assist you in any way we can. Once you have completed your application you will be able to schedule your interview with a Jesus School team member who will help you along your application process.

FAQ

Is housing included?
All students are responsible for finding their own housing. We can provide resources in finding housing. Please contact us with more questions regarding housing.

Do you provide financial aid?
Jesus School is designed to be affordable and is an investment in the rest of your life. Because Jesus School is non-accredited, students raise their finances by either working before coming to school or having friends, family, church members or churches support them. The Jesus School schedule allows for students to work. We believe in God’s ability to provide every need and that He will direct your steps.

What does my tuition cover?
Tuition includes all classroom sessions, books, and coaching sessions. It does not include housing, food, or the cost of a missions trip.

Do I earn a certificate or credits for Jesus School?
Jesus School takes a different approach of offering an immersive environment for transformation rather than a degree or credits. What is the minimum and maximum age for Jesus School?
The minimum age for Jesus School is 18 years old. There is no maximum age.

Is there a missions trip and is it mandatory?
A part of the Jesus School experience is being able to go on a mission trip. This is a wonderful opportunity to grow, serve, and be activated in the things you have learned. The cost of your mission trip is not included in your tuition. Missions trips usually happen around March or April. All students are required to go on a mission trip.

Can I work if I’m a student?
Our schedule allows for students to work while attending Jesus School.

If I am a student at ISU, can I also attend Jesus School?
Yes, as long as the class schedule and credit load do not interfere. Jesus School schedule is Sunday through Thursday during daytime hours.

What is the school schedule?
Jesus School runs from late August to the beginning of May. A weekly schedule can be found under the Weekly Schedule tab!
