why we exist
“Look at the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.” - John 1:29.
God has called us to our region to be a people devoted to Him. We look at Him, He comes, and the world sees His glory. When we gather in worship we see Him as the One Who comes and inhabits the praises of His people. When we pray we see Him who meets with the ones gathered in His Name. When we proclaim the gospel we see Jesus as the exalted Christ Crucified. When we live in community with each other we see Him as the One revealed through His Body.
And this will continue to be our call, in the season to come, until all see Jesus. Until all see Jesus in Ames, in our region, and in the world.
Until all see Jesus in His beauty on the college campus through Chi Alpha. Until all see Jesus amongst the next generation through Kids’ Pointe and LifePointe Youth. Until all see Jesus in our region through outreach and discipleship in Jesus School. Until all see Jesus amongst adults thru LifeGroups and Lifestyle Christianity. Until all see Jesus through worship, art, and media and the Creative Team. Until all see Jesus amongst the nations and our giving and going in world missions.
This is why we exist. That all may see Jesus. We will look at Him, He will come, and the World will see Him!

THE PRESENCE OF GOD
When God moves from being a theory to being a reality in peoples' lives, it changes everything. We desire to be a people primarily concerned about people encountering Jesus rather than us or our brand of church.
AUTHENTICITY
We avoid tactics or arm-twisting and instead embrace a culture of authenticity Authentic power and authentic relationships will bear fruit over a lifetime.
WHO'S NEXT?
We are people who re-align ourselves with Jesus and leave the 99 to seek out the one. We are always asking who is next – the next to encounter Jesus, the next to rise up as a leader or influence, and the next generation behind us.
GENEROSITY
Generosity is a natural expression of the gospel. The gospel is generous and therefore we seek to be a community that is generous. Generosity includes finances, times, and hospitality, to name a few.
WE ARE FAMILY
We believe family is one of the best descriptions of how we relate to each other in our church. We have all been adopted as sons and daughters. We desire to live out a level of commitment and sacrifice that is consistent with the kingdom family.
our beliefs
We believe the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He is revealed in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. The Lord Jesus Christ is both God and man and is the only one who can reconcile us to God. Each time we partake of communion we remember Jesus lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
We believe sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. In order to receive forgiveness, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives. God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and powerful lives in order to help others more effectively. In order to live the holy, fruitful, and power-filled lives God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water, set our mind on Him and His purpose, and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe God has individually equipped us and corporately gathered us as His living body so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, strengthen the Church, and share the Gospel with the community in which we live.
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised and will rule and reign on this earth. History will conclude as the wicked are judged and the righteous enter a new heaven and a new earth.
